Hello friends and family! I feel like I must start off each of these types of letters with a big old THANK YOU!! Each of you have loved and supported me throughout my life on my various adventures with God. I am eternally grateful for you!
This fall, I have the opportunity to return to Ecuador with another amazing team of mental health clinicians to support the ministry staff of Education Equals Hope (E=H). Just as a reminder: I was a part of a similar team that went to Ecuador with E=H in 2019. Another reminder: I was introduced to the work of E=H at the Trauma Healing Training I attended through World Renew in 2019. I hope this might be starting to sound familiar. God continues to fill me with a passion to support those who serve Him in various contexts around the world. I feel like even in my day-to-day jobs at Kingdom Causes Bellflower and Little House, I get to support and care for those who are working with neighbors on the margins of society every day. It truly is a blessing, and I am so thankful for this calling. At the end of this month (it’s already coming soon!), I will be joining a team of clinicians who share the same burden to care for those who serve God through the ministries of Education Equals Hope in Ecuador. During our time in Ecuador, we will be providing a soul care retreat to the staff of two specific ministries: Casa Adalia and Casa Gabriel. Casa Adalia is a home for girls coming out of trafficking, and Casa Gabriel is a home for former street boys. We will be providing a combination of educational sessions, time for soul care and individual therapy for the staff at the retreat. I am so excited, once again, about this opportunity. In 2019, I felt an immediate confirmation from God as I sought Him in prayer regarding this calling for service, and that confirmation has not changed in 2021. I feel like this opportunity combines my passion and my professional skills in a beautiful way....my heart is still in missions (whether local or abroad) and God has gifted me with a clinical license in social work. We are busy planning, as a group, for our time in Quito which will be from October 25 - 30, 2021. So, once again, I am seeking my support team to walk alongside me. As always, I covet your prayers. Our team covets your prayers as we prepare material and seek to meet the needs and desires of the staff that work in Quito. In addition, I ask that you pray for the health and wellbeing of our team. I am also trying to raise $1,800 to cover the costs of my travel to and time in Quito, Ecuador. I would love for you to prayerfully consider how you might be a member of my financial support team.
